.... If there were any doubt, the wheels pictured on the ebay auction car are CS forged.

The GT idles at 775 not 675, and redline is 6600 not 6200(cams). The only way to know for sure is to get the engine code off the car, and the options too. I would carefully check everything before plunking down the money, but the tach shows a 6600 redline.

Only other thing I like about the 91GT is a bit more insulation in the fender wells. I have the short shifter on my 90 but it was one of the last built in 90. The air flaps are a non-issue. Mine have always worked fine. I also have the betterer door seals, so I think that was a running change in the car, not a year model change. I know because I'm going to change them out soon, and had to order the right one's.

so, maybe the script on the back is right? I still think the tach is for a GT, but without the codes form the engine, it's impossible to tell.

The dealer has an "Internet Achievement Award", that and a buck will get you a cup of coffee. I wonder how his auctions usu go down, the zero bidder drops out at 18,000 on this car, (if he truly doesn't know what it is) or he doesn't pay and it is miraculously offered to the second in line?

The Baltic blue car seems to be really nice and is obviously a 1989 GT:
- Options codes:
220: Locking differential
393: Forged wheel 8J/9Jx16
474: Sport shock absorbers
639: 1989 GT
- Engine type: m28/47 85 K
- Gearbox type: G28/55
-Redline

I love the Baltic blue...

Best regards,
Samuel

I am finding myself very tempted by the car on e-bay, though the color combo may be a little dated for my taste. Looks like it needs a belt change, what will that typically run including the 'while you're in there' costs?

I'll be watching this one over the weekend ....

With the different shocks/springs, did a GT have different weights listed on the door jam than an S4? The sticker is shown in the auction.

BTW, the Baltic Blue rocks!

Geess, I was all excited about being the 4th Canadian GT until I realized you were talking the '89s. Well, nice to know you're out there.

Cheers,

Hi Tim,

I figure that there are very few Canadian 90 GT's too..not too many sent up that way..but they are unique in that most don't have rear air..(I guess they thought that Canada is cold year round haha).

Mine was originally sold in TO..but made its way to Cali for most of its life and now here in the Seattle area. The new 89 just listed looks like it has Ontario plates...and the white one also made it's way down to the States and is now in Texas I believe...

Later,
Tom

Great, now the price is going to skyrocket!

******PLEASE BE ADVISED, THAT AFTER CHECKING ALL THE OPTION CODES, I HAVE DETERMINED THAT THIS 928 IS ACTUALLY A SUPER RARE "GT" MODEL....BID ACCORDINGLY, AS THIS CAR IS WORTH FAR MORE MONEY THAN AN S4.********

Hard to really tell in the pix...but - it looks like they have the wider rim on the FRONT on the pass side...

That's funny. The green S2 E&H bought had the same problem. The front right wheel was also the only wheel that was wider on that car.

Whoops, that bumps me out of first place. I'm 1107.
No biggie. It still looks and feels the same to me.
