Supermodel uninstallation HELP needed

Supermodel uninstallation HELP needed
Hi All,
I am having serious financial difficulties right now and am forced to sell the twin screw supermodel kit from my '86.5.
I have found another Rennlister who has agreed to buy the kit. However, I have neither the experience nor the funds to remove the kit and get my car back to stock.
As such, I am making a plea for assistance to anyone who has the capability to help me remove the kit and get my car back to stock. I am willing to drive as far as needed to get to you, your garage, and your tools.
I am willing to pay for your meals and beer. I may even have something that I could trade for your time...I have a dozen vintage Style Auto jackets, a computer, a life sized Yoda...
Derek

OK, Derek. We can do this, if you come up with nothing closer. We just need to make sure you have any parts that may need to be replaced, such as intake gaskets and/or vacuum hoses that are not fresh.

I cannot thank you enough, Bill.
I saved everything that came off during the installation. I can order anything else that you think is a good idea...just give me a list.
Let's see if anyone closer offers to do this. Otherwise, Yoda will be riding shotgun on the way up.

Oh, I was kidding about Yoda, but maybe Dave or Fishy will make you an offer.
When do you want to do this?
It would be best if you ordered a full set of vacuum hoses for underneath the intake, with the understanding that you can return anything unused. Get intake manifold gaskets. Don't think you need the intake cross-over tube boots unless they were ratty. Nothing else comes to mind, but I will look over the PET.

Bill + Derek,
Hey Derek... Bill...
I have saved several good hoses etc that came off my 86.0 car and will allow derek to get by until he is ready for the next stage...
Take picture of all of the stuff that came off your car and note anything rubber that need replaceing... I know that you had your intake area redone prior to supermodeling so I imagine/ hope that most of the rubber you removed is usable.
Yes... get some new metal gaskets for the intake ($100 or so) and bill is right ... the rubber hoses that join the two halves are acceassible and I have extras.... The cam cover beather hoses are har to get at as are the large rubber sleevs around the t body... idle stab valve etc...
Let me now ...I think we can get your car running in two days maybe less... I am willing to offer tools... and a garage if nobody else can...

Ideally, I would like to come up a week from Friday. I have shared custody of my child and will be free from Friday 2/10 through Tuesday 2/14. I hope that can work for you. I could leave Thursday evening and be there early Friday.

I'm a little closer, in San Diego County if you want to be closer to home, still a longish drive though. There's a few listers in the neighborhood, including the ever elusive Stig, but anyway, I have a garage and tools if you want to head down this way.

Thank you for your offer, Bill S.
I know that Bill B. has gone through this procedure before and therefore may have more experience. My experience level is very, very low and I will really be relying on the experience of who helps me.
I will keep your offer in mind, if Bill B. has any reservations or problems with the timing of when I hope to do this.
I really appreciate the offer.

Derek:
I haven't put a system back to stock before, but I'm happy to learn on your car! Certainly, it would be best if this was done in your garage with some local hands. Bill Swift is very experienced with these cars. Regardless, I'm happy to do this at my place or Loren's. It would be best to start on a Friday perchance we need a part during the restoration, but I don't have the day off. DEVEK is open Saturdays if we need something. Loren is close to DEVEK, I believe.
Let's see what develops. There are others in your area who know the Supermodel kit you have and might be able to take care of this locally.
