Depending on my grades this semester/the condition of my car/timing with the cruise my family is going on, I may make this year's SITM. The car is now running/roadworthy, but we're doing a lot of PM/parts swaps on the car come spring break. If I do make it, I may claim the title as the youngest 928 owner there (21... I dont know if there are any younger on the boards)... plus I'd be coming from TX, and since I have to bring the car up to MD at some point anyway, this might be a good first trip for the car rather than having it shipped.
and if I make the 3.0 I'm shooting for... there'll be a nice little suprise to show when I get there

Hey John, How far are you from Atlanta? I'm about 4 hours away, but my wife likes to go shopping down there occasionally. If we stayed for a weekend, I could stop by and lend a hand. I too am in the process of finishing everything up for SITM. How big is your SITM to do list?

John:
That's nothing. Here's my list:
Upper ball-joint boots R&R
Get oil drain plug out (it's really in there, and now it's totally rounded off! )
Install DR front sway bar
Install clear 5MPH bumpers in front
Install GTS clutch
Adjust ride height (front adjuster just spins! )
Find source of oil leak up top - and fix
Check timing belt
Time cams
Pull intake and valve covers for re-finishing
Install super charger while intake is off
Get windows tinted
Fix wheel tilt mechanism
I'm sure other things will pop up, but as is, I'm guessing about 8-10 full weekends of work. The real challenge is finding those weekends to do the work between now and SITM. I planned on working on the clutch this weekend, but between the Honey-do list and the big game, I think it's a bust.
