There's always some assshole that's gotta mess it up for the rest of us, lol.

Back when I was abusing the youngsters in the stang/camaro/firebird crowd
I'd put on my old fogey/slack-jawed/distracted face and cruise at 2200- 3400 rpm
in second . When the unsuspecting youth(s) would pull alongside after checking out Pattycakes gorgeous behind they would, generally, push in the clutch and rev their engines. I'd give them the
elderly dull 'LOOK' and floor it. Being "on the cam" has its advantages ... particularly when the the
Clearasil crowd finds themselves between gears and off the power band.
This tactic works especially well for those of us in the severely underpowered early models pushing thru the air with only 220 HP particularly when being outpowered by approx. 100 - 140 HP.
Can I tell you the elapsed time 55/70 to 100mph? Nope! But, since this is essentially ramp to ramp
- approx.1 mile - racing on the 4 lane, divided Loop, I rarely hit 85. Probably due to the encounter
developing somewhere between ramps. For reference: Pattycakes will do in excess of
55 in first
83 in second
141 in third.
Indicated of course.

All this HP and torque and gearing talk put to work.

Just did a careful road test after and before a dyno today with scots part euro 4.7 (mostly euro, sans CIS)

250rwhp, peaking at 5500rpm.

2.75 gears.

60-80 2.5 seconds (holbert car is more in the 2.8 second range)
70-90mph 3.1 seconds both in 3rd gear

90-100 near 2.5 seconds, but has to use 4th obviously

total 60-100 near 7 seconds with a shift.

It felt very fast though. Scot should be happy . Plus, its running and has a new engine!
