Hello everyone,
As a well seasoned north american mechanic, I have rebuilt many transmissions so my question is this.
Does the 928 trans torque convertor slide on a bushing. I have never seen one any other way.
After rebuilding a chev ford or dodge trans, I would just grab the torque convertor, slide it on over the input shaft and turn it till the tangs lined up and it popped into place.
Is this not so with our trans?
I am just wondering why the Drive shaft flex only moves on the engine side?

It's a little ironic that this thread is immediately preceded by a thread about what to do with thrust bearing failed engine blocks. Perhaps that one was the 'inspiration piece'.
