Default Performance Muffler Dilemma

I need a final muffler for an 83' euro S. It's a dual exaust(2.25") and already has an x-pipe. The car is way to quite. If I take off the final muffler, it will be too noisy because it only has that one inline resonator. I need a final muffler that will accept dual-in. Can I somehow install a Borla XR-1 at the back??

CAT on the car? My 81 with both the muffler and resonator removed is not too loud with the original CAT still there.

Is there not a suitable RMB for your system?

Perhaps if there's a local 'Lister that has a set up close to where you may be headed you could have a listen before purchase!

The X-pipe replaces the cat, so no cat. Is there a final muffler that will fit at the end??

I've looked and the Euro dual exhaust doesn't mate up with any of the US systems. I haven't found a RMB or aftermarket rear muffler that will fit. That is without custom work.

Curious: what X-pipe did you put in? What custom work was required?

If you don't mind a car that is loud and overtly obnoxious- but yet sounds OOOOH SO GOOD, Borla is the way to go.
