As of late last night my timing belt disaster 85 is back together. To diassamble and reassemble the top end and TB assembly took 42 hours. There are 10 quarts of generis flush oil, Delvac oil, coolant and other miscellaneous stuff -I haven't seen the detailed bill yet, just have the total.
Also a longer crank bolt has been used, flange bolts to install the SC intake - so Permatex shouldn't have to be used; the front of the engine was steam cleaned while everything was apart.
I was hoping to drive it to Atlanta this weekend but decided against that as I wasnt to make sure all is as it should be. It made the typical noise on initial startup with no oil in the lifters but is smooth again now.
My next post should be with tuning info and dyno numbers, I expect the numbers to be "low" as it will be tuned on a Mustang dyno, not a Dynojet. Later I'll get to a dynojet and get some comparison numbers. Boost will probably be 7 or 8 pounds non-intercooled, anyone want to guess Mustang dyno numbers? Before the Eaton SC I was at 291 rwhp on a dynojet and 276 on a Land & Sea load bearing dyno.

42 hours of labour for that low price? That works out to be a shop rate of about only $25/hr. Heckuva deal!

Cool Rick ... If you started with 291, I think you're pushing more than just 60hp gain at 7psi.

If the Mustang dyno is similar to the Land & Sea dyno then the starting point is 276 NA. Hopefully it will make it to the dyno this weekend while I'm gone.

7 or 8 psi is alot for a non intercooled engine? Did you change the CR to compensate?
I would guess you should gain at least 100whp at those pressure levels

so which is the real number then? We use Dynojet here in the land of clouds and 8-hour days.

I put it at 330rwhp. I assume you'll pull the performance chips now that you have the S/C.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

I won't know for sure until the heat of the summer but I think all will be fine.
