Default Pics of the Audi Coupe with the 928 Prototype Engine

I had never seen these pics before - only the ones in the Project 928 book:

Finally my fascination with both Audi's and Porsches makes sense!

Well, the owning families of Porsche AG and the Volkswagon Group (owners of Audi) are related. The owning family of the Volkswagon group has a bloodline from Ferdinand Porsche (sister, daughter, or niece, something like that), but I can't remember which. So I would think there would be some sort of friendly association between them, ie, loan us an engine from a 928 for testing.

http://www.20v.org/dead100.jpg And the caption reads: "Austrian CQ (non-turbo) and a smashed 100. The
driver walked away with just a headache!"

I don't think so ...

It's all in Projekt 928 and in porsche, Excellence Was Expected. They used an Audi body to test the 928 engine (and I think an Opel to test the suspension).

With your head split open, I think it would ache!

That's pretty cool.

You can probably still get intake tubes for that iteration~~

That was a lot more than an engine swap.

The 100S Coupe was front wheel drive....
