Yeah, I gotta find a way to talk them into lettin me have it somehow. Not sure if either offering them cold hard cash, an alternate nice poster or picture to fit the wall, a window perhaps(big $ for that), or what exactly will work. They seemed like it didnt really have any real meaning to them other than it fit the wall space, but yet they didnt bite on my suggestive hints to allow me to make it a cash cow for them either. I'll probably give it a few days then call them back up once I've had a bit to think of a good strategy. Dont want to be too pushy & scare them off either. Glad to see others are as psyched about it as I am. Man I'm telling ya, to see a poster that big of a 928 & so unexpected like that, I know the look on my face must of looked like I'd found the mother load!

Too, too creepy but my wife and I were cleaning out our cedar closet tonight when I find a bag from a poster store with a receipt from 1987. It's the exact poster in your photo, 6 feet long and all!! I guess I bought it right before I got married and forgot about it. Really bizarre coincidence. Unfortunately, it's a little crinkled from stuff compressing it over the years. Store was called Prints Plus and I paid $7.50 + tax. It has an ID number of BL069 Porsche. I bought it because it looked like the 83 Euro I owned at the time.

oh wow, that is a bit weird. But you still have the actual poster eh?? Even if its crinkled, bet it'd look great on your garage wall at least. Wish I could get the one I saw today, would probably pay them $75 plus tax if they'd give it up!

Speaking of posters & getting copies, did anyone ever end up getting copies made of the 928 Land Speed Record Poster? If so, who did, how much & can we still get one of those?

I got that poster a few months ago from my neighbor.
He had it up in his room when he was a teenager. Just a few tack holes, and some tape on the back.
It's loosely rolled up; been meaning to frame it.
You can see the (external) wheel weights on the rims!

For $75.00 you can get a lot of HUGE posters made of what ever 928 shot you like. I guess this particular one has great meaning to you.
If you have the room...like a garage wall, You can take any photo, have it copied in high resolution and wall paper a wall. Take a high resolution digital photo of your car and get IT made into a 6 foot poster for less than $75.00.
Just some suggestions...

haha...I had that poster in high school. Remember in the 80's most malls had "poster stores"? (hell, they may still have them for all I know) It couldn't have cost me more than $8-10 or so at the time. Wish I had kept it now!
