Air/Fuel Mixture Gage
I'm hoping some of the OB owners on the board will chime in on this one.
My K&N air fuel mixture gage kit arrived today. The gage is round with a 2" diameted and is about 2" deep (a little bigger than I thought). Anyone installed one of these. I'm looking for ideas for a clean installation. I'm not closed to concealing it as an option.

Look at the other tread, I posted a reply on this. Dich the ash tray and drill the holes on the ash tray lid or holes (if 2 gages are installed) and push the gages into it. You will have all the required wires (+12v, Ground, Gage illumination dimmer light +12V) right there and the O2 wire is only a foot away at the fuse panel!

Scott,
IIRC Lotec has an A pillar gauge pod that will fit the 928. I have one on my 931 and it is well made and will hold 2 or 2 1/16" gauuges. Stay away from the generics like sold by JCW as they look like crap and won't hold the deep gauges like yours. BTDT.

I mounted mine in the glove box. I wanted to keep the stock look around the dash, already have the radar detector in the ash tray location, and the center vent hides the center speaker.
Little harder to focus on the gauges when at full throttle because I have to turn my head so much.

Anyone ever mounted a bar LED gauge (horizontal row of LED's) to
the underside of the top lip of the gauge pod?
Close to line of sight. Narrow enough to not obscure any gauges.
And practically invisible when off. Minimal invasive surgery to the dash.
Just wondering.

Ernest,
you can do the same from inside the dash. Not invasive at all, and you could wire them to existing pot, therefore you can control intensity. No battery in the car I did this to, but will take a pic when I can
