Not too much in Detroit/Ann Arbor area - the one good thing is that it usually melts off in a week or two. So, hopefully, I'll be able to sneak it out for a quick run in January.

Gretch:

You get REAL winter up there in the White Mountains. Beautiful area, although I confined my travels there to the spectacular Fall season, blasting around the backroads there and in the Green Mountains of Vermont when I lived in Ohio.

Typical winter snow fall in my area over the last 6 years has been 7 to 8 feet cumulative...and sometimes we get half of that in one storm......happened a couple years back and it took me a week to dig my way up the mountain to the house.....we used the sleds to shuttle back and fourth for the week. Made for a very nervous insurance agent.....we were real careful with fire that week.

The next year I bought a second tractor with a 72" wide blower on the PTO, and kicked one of the cars out of its garage bay. Now, on thanksgiving, Gretch gets moved to the heated shop anf the tractor blower combo goes to the top of the mountain. One other thing I learned was leaving the sled keys at the house might mean having to walk a half a mile up a mountain in 4 feet of snow....oh yeah, and back down again......

So I am happy to have my DR modular crossover, a complete clutch, The DR anti-sway bar and several other bits on the shop shelf. Gives me something to do indoors......

Just completed my installation! It's sounds friggen awesome!

At cruise, it sounds very similar to stock until... your right foot gets heavy, then... BWWWWAAAAAHHHHHHH!

FYI... I have DR's cat-less setup with stock resenators and stock rear muffler.

Thanks DR!

Congrats Andy! You've confirmed my thought that it actually sounds more tame than my h-pipe did at idle/low rpm, but still has a loud yet more refined roar in the upper Rpm's.

What does the Assometer say as far as power goes Andy? I thought it made a definite improvement on my 86.5, especially in the lower RPM's

oh, i forgot you probably have about a foot of snow on the ground, not really conducive to crossover testing.

I just did a quick run up and back the closest "clear" street and it felt like throttle response was better, but truth-be-told, I was entranced by the sound. I was friggen beautiful!

Got mine done this past weekend. On the 89 GT one of the exhaust manifold bolts are longer than the others, so I couldn't use all the cap head bolts. (see Andrew's post below, we did the same thing) I can confirm that it is almost mandatory to install the cap head bolts from the bottom side up. It is easy to get a wrench on the nut if it is installed on the manifold side, but not possible to get one on the nuts such that they can actually be turned on the exhaust pipe side. The cap head bolts take a torx though, which makes installation very easy, once the required alignment of the through holes is accomplished.

While the car was in the air I also installed DR'd front anti-roll bar.......MAN that is big honking piece of iron......

I didn't start my car because I still have to clamp up the cats and am awaiting my smaller clamps. (didn't want to lose the windows in the shop) I have a couple of pictures....

I ran into this as well. On the driver's side there is a bracket/brace that mounts up to the manifold flange of significant thickness that does not allow use of the cap-heads. I ended up re-using the original bolt with a new nut. Seemed to work okay for me.
