Could you explain your exhaust system, the outlet looks awesome. I could see that on my 84 928S street car...

exhaust outlet...........

thats a simple pipe that I welded up to replace original muffler. As part of the weight loss program I made a "y" pipe and dropped the cat and rear muffler. So what you are seeing in the picture is just a 3" pipe with a couple of bends in it. I now have a set of headers and will fabricating an entire exhaust system so that pipe will be gone. I think my fuel cell location makes it possible for me to have dual exhaust, one out each side of the rear. Still looking at that idea...
