Andrew,

BTW, I just had the "Honor" of putting your Shipping label/Invoice on your box personally a few seconds ago... I don't think I will wash my hands all week

Andrew,
BTW, I noticed when I labeled yours that you got the "non-cat" version... you may want to go pick up some ear plugs for your neighbors as Christmas presents.... because your 928 is gonna SCREAM!!!!!

Ben,

>3 hours left to go+ i have to stop and get

Do yourself a favor when you stop and get 2 each of the band type 2.5" and 2.25" exhaust clamps in case yours was one of the ones that we mixed up the clamps on the first day of shipping (grrrrrr). Best case scenario we got yours right and you can return the clamps later.

BTW, DO NOT get the "hoop" type traditional clamps!

No inspection = no cats! But I still have the rear muffler for now... so it shouldn't be too bad.

WOO HOO!!!!!!
Just re-checked the UPS tracking info again & got this:

Status: Delivered
Delivered on: Dec 13, 2005 12:37 P.M.
Location: FRT DOOR
Delivered to: US
Shipped or Billed on: Dec 9, 2005
Tracking Number: 1Z 8A6 9T1 03 4518 146 9
Service Type: GROUND
Weight: 30.00 Lbs

Thinkin I gotta get outta work early just to see it in the light of day!!! Besides, like Andrew said, I feel like a kid at Christmas & I wanna be the one to open up the package. I know both my wife & son will do the honors for me if they get home before me & see it on the front door stoop!

Hey DR, if my clamps arent right, am I to send you back the ones I get & you'll resend the right ones?? I might get to attempt the install this Sunday maybe, but otherwise will not do so till the following weekend. Nice Christmas Eve to me. Pleae tell me what exactly a Band Clamp is for a muffler.... cause I would have just gotten the U shaped variety without knowing any better. Do you recommend applying both muffler tape and gasket sealer to the connections too? Otherwise its just unbolt, install, & bolt the new clamps in place, & reinstall the O2 sensor right??

And I DEFINATELY plan on revin it up once I have it disconnected at the headers just to say Merry Christmas to all of my neighbors near n far!! I've already forewarned my wife of those plans!!

Hi Mel,

>Hey DR, if my clamps arent right, am I to send you back the ones I get & you'll resend the right ones??

If that is the case contact us ASAP so we can send the correct one (or 2) immediately. Then just drop the other(s) in the mail the cheapest way at your convieince and we will reimburse you for the postage.

>Pleae tell me what exactly a Band Clamp is for a muffler.... cause I would have just gotten the U >shaped variety without knowing any better.

It looks just like it sounds , a wide solid band that wraps around and cinches tight. The brand name we use is AccuSeal.

> Do you recommend applying both muffler tape and gasket sealer to the connections too?

See Install Notes on the Modular Crossover Product on the website page for full details.

> Otherwise its just unbolt, install, & bolt the new clamps in place, & reinstall the O2 sensor right??

Correct.

Andrew,

>DR... Stop typing and get shipping!

OK, we got 14 out in 1 day! How's that? :-)

When you see how they are packaged you will understand why it takes so long.

Could you guys use more packing tape (fer chrissakes!!!!) It was 14 degrees out this morning and I am standing at the back of my tahoe trying to get the friggin box open so I could check my clamps and then go call Jeannie......I only had my truck key to open the box with......and I had to pee.....Jeeze you would think you were shipping a safe full of gold or something......

Just teasing.....nice to receive heavy parts shipments that haven't destroyed their shipping containers in transit.......

Sure, we will use ANOTHER roll per box from now on :-)

We were, "WHITE GOLD" :-)

I know.

After such a long wait we did not want to take any chances of shipping damage, glad you noticed.

BTW, all of that shredded newspaper was done personally by Jeannie. As a matter of fact we needed so much packaging material due to the large amount of Crossovers we had to ship at once that Jeannie drove to neighboring county News Printing warehouses to get their unsold newspapers so we could shred them.. No kidding!
