you can run the system with out the gas pedal pressed and you have a perfect mixture of about 12.5 :1 , as this just adds to the WOT mixture. you can climb a hill just with NOS engaged. (its how i tested it on warm up laps to make sure it was working)

anyway, the other best way is dead pedal switch. this way, you only engage it when you want to have it adding to your hp. it also prevents any chance of the NOS to be engaged when you put in a clutch (as opposed to the moron NOS buttons that claim engines, due to overreving, unless you have an automatic)

Well a friend of mine offered to sell me a variable nozzle turbo (brand new) from a 05 f350, but I have no way to control it, and don't want to get into all the fab work to fit it under the hood. So I figured that this would be cheaper in the long run.

You mean a VNT style Turbo, right?. Variable Vein Turbo not Variable Nozzle. My '00 TDI has one too.

yeah , thats the ticket...... If there was room to do it easily, and I had a way to control boost I would have done it.
