Default Need 17 mm wheel spacers

What's a good source for 17 mm spacers like those that came on my '89 GT?

Thanks.

Those look just like the ROH ZS wheels I have...bought em off ebay, and I needed 17mm spacers too...I bought 13mm units from a vendor on ebay (he also sells 8 mm aluminum spacers in the Porsche 5x130mm bolt circle...Solved my problem completely.

I took my 25 mm spacers to a machine shop and had a 1/4" machined off; I think Kibort has done the same.

what did that run you ??? I paid $ 20 "shipped" for the Ebay aluminum spacers, and still have my stockers if I ever want to put the stock wheels bak on.

The spacers are not for the wheels on the car now, but for the forged CS wheels I'm getting for Christmas :-)

I don't have anything that I would call spacers on the car now. Nothin' but hub.

I do have a friendly machine shop that could probably duplicate the original spacer if I could get my hands on one.

Jeff,
It was done a year ago for about 20 bucks IIRC. I had to take them back a second time to have material removed from the inner hub as well. It was done by an older gentleman who has since retired.

What kind of wheels are those in your sig picture ??? I'd like to get away with no spacers too...but am concerned about too close clearance to the rear calipers without any spacers at all...i have the ROH ZS wheels on my car...17x8" on the rear, but the wheels were originally for a 968 as I'm told. They do look fantastic (in my opinion) though, with the fenderwell as full as possible.

I never have been able to ID those wheels. Somewhere (January '04) there's a thread with some closer pictures.

I have a couple of spare sets of slip-on spacers from 85/86.

Mark,

A little late responding (Disney with my family) but if you could not find a source for the spacers and need to borrow a set of the factory '89 GT 17mm spacers to copy and have a duplicate set machined up, let me know. I have mine stored in the garage-don't need them right now with my current wheels. I do want to keep them for future use just I ever get the urge to return to stock (not too likely).

Derek: Nice link. Thanks. Did you see Tony's comments on the BEGI setup in the recent twin screw thread?
