A new MAF transformed mine. The difference was quite surprising.
One other thing that hasn't been mentioned is the Octane Loop which will hold them back if its connected.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I will need to swap out the MAF and see if it takes care of the stumble too.
Andrew - the MAF is only there. No restrictor.
I'll go look for that green plug. That would be very weird though.

Thanks H. Did you see that I talked to John last night? The guy you bought the car from? Quick convo, but he did talk to me about the car a bit. Nice of him to call me back.

Saw that Brendan. John has little history or input or i would have referred you. Anyway the exhaustive receipts in his name might have been a clue ..... love the amount he spent just before the car ate the belt eh?

He mentioned the belt fiasco.
Question: The two rear fuel pots on the rails are Regulators?? ? And the one front one is a DIAPHRAM??
Or is it the other way around? PET5 says is that way. Just wanted to make sure. I think I mad a booboo.

For the 32V cars (never looked at the 16V in that detail) ...
Pass Rear == Press. Reg
Drvr Rear == Damper
Front of engine == Damper (this is where fuel enters the rails)

I got a whole new world of respect for the 928 tbelt after seeing a seized water pump and half a tbelt still faithfully turning the oil pump and both cams.

it is easy to see the difference a pressure regulator must have a bypass return line from the base the dampers have two side ports and no return but both have a vacuum fitting . The USA 85> uses a single pressure regulator ,the USA 80-84 has two pressure regulators one at the rear of each fuel rail I am not sure abuot the Euro LH 16 valve.

Jim the 85 has one in front (inlet) and one at the rear (outlet) as you describe, regulator .... then it has a single damper at driver's side. Right? So one damper, two regs?
