Anyone have a picture of engine decals?
Preferably for a US 85 32v. Picture showing placement of engine decals, including but not necessarily limited to: firing order, high voltage, timing belt, and underhood (bonnet). Is there a seperate fan warning or is it part of one of the above?
Thanks,
Rick

Are you thinking of getting them reproduced? We have had some attempts at that before.
Several of the stickers are listed as still available from Porsche, but what you get is not what was on your car, but rather the last version of that sticker. For example, the high tension electrical warning sticker was gold foil until sometime in the 90s when it went to a pukey yellow. You will get pukey yellow if you order one from Porsche. Brian, the R-12 AC stickers are NLA, but you could get R-134 ones last time I tried. I can't recall if the firing order, originally silver foil, is still available, but regardless, it will not match the original finish. I don't think the vacuum sticker is availabe and thre would be numerous versions of that.
It would be nice to document the original stickers for various years.

Bill,
The top of the radiator has a plate over it so the original stickers are covered up. I didn't take a picture first (doh!) but I think one sticker is centered in the middle and the other on the US driver's side halfway between the middle and edge of radiator, centered in front of the intake if I still had an intake there. Still not on the dyno yet, little stuff. 928 Specialists is sending me the decals; if they're not model specific they should still improve the underhood appearance a little.

In my 89 the order from passenger to driver side is: AC, electrical warning, firing order. The first is 1 inch from the outer edge and centered front to back, the second is centered right to left but to the front of the radiator top and the third is 2 inches from the outer edge centered front to back.

Bill & DALEZPLACE ,
Thanks for the info,I downloaded the 86 engine bay pic. I know my car won't look stock, this may help it look a little more factory.

Wow, that ebay offering is rare. I tried ordering the stickers before and most of them were NLA or incorrect substitutions. The foil high tension and firing order ones look right on. Must be old stock.

Wow. This guy has loads of old decals. If these are reproductions, they awfully good. Doing foil stumped us before when the idea of reproduction came up here. They appears to be old original sets. Wonder how he came to have them for so many different cars.

Bill,
I have ordered a couple of sets and they come from Peru which leads me to think they are repro.
They are perfect however and exactly like the originals.
