Hi Guys,
As some of you know the first Production run of our New Front Performance Sway bars had some "issues". Luckily we spotted this as we unboxed them for inspection. ADDCO promptly reran the production run correctly and all was great!
However we have these "seconds" and have made arrangement with ADDCO to blow them out at crazy prices for those that don't want to spend a lot for a great performance upgrade.
Here is the deal, they are available ONLINE ONLY, and we are only announcing this on Rennlist ONLY. There are approx. 50 available and any unsold to Rennlisters will probably go to Ebay for more money or to the crusher.
To find this special search for "budget" in the search box on our website.
"Budget" 928 Front Sway Bar - Sold "As Is" with no returns.
These are the Front Sway bar "Seconds" from our recent Performance Sway Bar Production.
Details
Cold Formed from prehardened bar stock to prevent heat treat deformation and to retain Sway Bar "Memory".
28mm Solid Sway Bar - 150% Stiffer than Factory Bar @ Stock Link Position
Bars only and do not include any hardware.
They will fit your 928 using existing hardware (bushings/links) or other aftermarket hardware.
78-79 will require late style 80-up sway bar bushings (see related products on the site for our inexpensive poly versions)
Stock shape and same tire clearance as a stock bar.
2 Drop Link mounting positions, stock and one stiffer location (third incorrectly manufactured position is cut off as pictured).
They are slightly bowed across the length of the bar but still fit and function fine.
Will be shipped without boxes so anticipate some scratches during shipment.
Shipped via UPS only.
Limited supply and once they are gone, they are gone!
Price: $75.00 plus shipping.

What does a stiffer front do again? I alwaysa forget this. Stiff Front, loose rear? Or is it opposite?

Sounds like a deal to me! Already placed my order, something to add to my Mod Xpipe order shipment when those come in! I wouldnt need the stiffest setting anyways.
Question DR, if I needed to replace my hardware for some reason, what is the price & availability?
Thanks!

Hi Mark,
>You have a kid right?
We think way too much alike!
I had a reply typed up for him to ask his girlfriend/wife and that she would know the answer, but you beat me to it :-)

Hi Mel,
>Question DR, if I needed to replace my hardware for some reason, what is the price & availability?
Working on that, I am waiting for exact "hardware only" prices from ADDCO on the cool hardware they got for us.

>Already placed my order
You are not alone, only 36 left!
Sure am glad you guys can take advantage of us this, I was excited to be able to get some kick-a$$ sway bars to some of you so cheaply!! While these aren't quite as advanced as our full production bars, they are a lot better than the stock ones!!!

Would OTT drop links fit over the end of this bar?

All you need to do is remove the "channel" from the Ott Links and only use the Drop Link sections and they will work. This will give you the advantage of the strong Rod End Hardware included with the Ott Links and you can use those on the 2 link locations of these bars.
Oh, you might need a longer bolt to go thru the rod ends and the sway bar, but I can get you the specs if needed and they can be gotten at a hardware store.

So on the front, the OTT drops would not add another percentage of adjustablity, meaning te end of this budget bar would not fit inside the channels. This is expected with bigger bars, I was just checking.

Correct, and the "stock" location of these bars will be stiffer than the Adjustable links on a stock bar, AND then you can go the second stiffer location if desired, so trying to fit the "channel" would be a wasted effort anyway.
