In fact just send it to International as a core in the name of the other guy, so you don't double-ship.

I think T said that he would not do it through intl. I'd love to put three bearings in an auto one. I'm so tempted to make my own TT.

I don't have a core, as stated in the beginning of the thread. Besides, Abby is saying it is not in need of rebuild. I also don't know if Abby is offering it to me or to Brendan. Don't want to get in competition with Brendan for it. I think it's up to Abby to decide who it should go to.

I'm not very smart, so I'm confused

Whoever (Brendan, I think) takes mine, it will be delivered via Forward Air from MSY- New Orleans International Airport to the nearest Forward Air location to you. You will need to pick it up at the facility in person. It will be strapped to a pallet and covered in viz-queen, so a pick -up, large SUV or van wiill be needed.
LMK.

Well I don't know about that Abby, but anyway at least they can say about you that you a) have excellent taste in cars; b) have excellent taste in beers; and c) are a very nice guy who just gave away an expensive part to help someone out

I'll pay shipping to me. I will this one in from Abby so I can continue to drive the car, since its my only one (well, that currently runs under its own power). Then I will take the one out of the car and ship it to Tarek. Is that a good deal T? We get what we want for shipping costs.

Thanks H.

Sorry Tarek I had not realised that your car currently has no torque tube at all. So ... how the heck did you end up in that predicament? Fell off? Stolen? Cat fire? Bought without it?

He needs the same thing you will need for your 80. A later TT. The 3spd and 5spd TTs of the early cars do not fit the later transmissions. Or maybe thats just for autos.

When I posted, I was posting to the thread starter. I didn't read the entire thread before posting. Since Tarek started the thread, I believe it would only be fair for him to receive it. Brendan is a great guy and I wish I had another one to give him. I hope there are no "sour grapes" related to this and that you guys can work out some type of swap or whatever it is you had in mind.

Tarek,

I'll source a pallet and get someone to help me get it to the airport. I'll likely be able to get it on board Monday or Tuesday. I won't know shipping charges until they weigh the entire pallet. I'll send you a pm with more details.

Thanks Abby. You're a great Rennlister. As I mentioned to you before, if you're in need of parts I may have, you're more than welcome to them.

Brendan,

Same goes to you. Send me a list of parts you need in case I happen to have. I might have an extra set of sway bars by the way. First dibs for Abby of course, then you.

cheers,
