I know this car!!!!! the wheels are RH and the car is or was in Georgia. I had a fellow Rennlister look at it for me last year. The car has a repaint, but not too bad cosmetically. I came close to buying it for 34000 but went for Stan P's 93 instead. I was told the car was a 2 owner back then, with no records.

All: I shot [wrong choice of word, you'll see] the people Chuck showed are really selling this car. I implied "Ted Stokely" might try to lift the car, There was a smiley with it, but here is their reply -- can't say I blame them.

"yes we have already filed a report with ebay....coming here to get the car would be his worst and last mistake...."

yeah, but maybe it would put an end to Ted's scamming!!

I, too sent them an email...as well as a report to eBay...hard to believe they haven't pulled it yet.

Haven't heard back from the "seller" either...I wonder how "TED" expects to sell this thing if he doesn't respond to emails. I wanna get him to put a couple of us on the approved bidders list and bid this thing up to $100k!!!

Here's a big surprise...the "seller" finally responded...here's the email I got from him.

Hello dear customer,
The car is in perfect shape, no scratches or dings. The engine has never been modified and maintains perfect compression across the board. I have all the papers in order and on my name. The real miles onboard, a great car ready to be yours. It was never involved in an accident or something like that.It is located in Austin TX.
I don't want to offend you by anything but if we are going to complete the sale we are going to use eBay Purchase Program which will cover the purchases up to 20,000 USD.My price of sale is $8,700 USD,including shipping costs anywhere in the continental US,which is well below this amount. There are no other costs regarding this transaction.
If you agree with my terms,i will need your name and address and i will contact eBay to inform them about our agreement and to start the program to protect us.
Thank you and I will wait for your email.

make sure you tell him you are picking it up in person and no shipping is required
also that you will pay CASH... or you could pull the same scam and tell him your customer only gave you a check for 12k and can he refund the diff
