thanks for all the input and opinions.
if i decide to do this (and i probably won't) it will come in as a race car/show car so no federalization is needed and the blower will come off immediately to be ultimately replaced by a 928 specialists twin screw.

How do those Gumballers get their rides into the States when they come over? Is there a way to bring a car into the country easily if it will be leaving soon after?

There is a 1980 Strosek Widebody for sale in Norway. No supercharger but 25years old. Probably too expensive for you because all cars are in Norway...
http://www.finn.no/finn/car/object/;...28&pos=4&tot=9
I have seen this car in person and even though the paint is fresh there is cracks in the paint on several places where the fibreglass meets steel. This is probably common on these cars... I know a lot of money has been used on this car but the owner don't do anything mechanical himself. It has S4 brakes and seats.
This is the guy who had the used Strosek/Koenig Twin-Supercharged engine for sale some time ago(see the archive). That engine was planned to go into this car but was sold. He still knows who owns it though...

Fabio,
In answer to your question it is a night and day difference when vehicles come in that are temporary. They do not have to go thru the EPA. I think the limit is 6 months or maybe a year now that they have to be re-exported. I believe they are TIB's ( temporary in-bond). Usually that is vacationers or racers.
