Electrical Connection Liquid
Apologies in advance for being vague, but.....
I seem to remember about a liquid you could put onto electrical connections that would improve the connection and help fight corrosion. It came in a small dropper like an eye dropper.
I remember that the Shark owner in San Jose/Campbell used it when he pulled his fuse panel and cleaned every connection, then added a drop to every terminal connection with great results. But that was probably 2 years ago now.
Does this ring any bells???? I would like to get some, but I can't remember what it was called.
Thanks
Nathan

Another that I have used on electronic circuit boards and connections at work is called Kon-Form conformal coating. It is a spray. There is also a product that some people use for this type of thing that is genericly called liquid electrical tape. Clear nail polish works just as well and it is much cheaper.

Thanks for all your help!
Given the realities of life, (and the relative costs involved) I went to Radio Shack and got the DeOxit. It have to say it works great!
Now I am looking for more ways to use it.
Hummmm, this flashlight always seems to flicker a little... apply a little bit of DeOxit and Voila! a brighter beam with no more flicker. In fact this stuff works so well that I think I am becoming a DeOkit junkie. I'm starting to look for places to use it and things to use it on. Fuses, electrical connections, speaker wire connections, light bulb sockets....
Thanks again,

De-Oxit saved me a whole bunch of headache and pain when the
ignition circuit amp? (Black plastic box just behind front bumper covering
2 op-amps on driver's side) developed a flakey connection.
Car would start but stop running as soon as I released key from start to run position.
2 emails later from Rennlist. I was armed with De-Oxit. Unplugged each of the
amp connectors and cleaned with De-Oxit. Car started and ran.
Hasn't complained since. Cheapest $5 928 fix I've ever had.
My camera flashes like De-Oxit.
Ernest (NYC) Too bad they don't make De-Oxit for my brain-noggin.

DeOxit is great and I have used it a lot. Stabilant works on a different aspect of the problem. DeOxit removes oxidztion and cleans the contacts. Stabilant is actulally a semiconductor emulsion that improves the electrical flow between the contacts by filling the gap with a microscopic layer that conducts when current is applied. When I redid the panel, I used both. In all the electrical work I have used only about 1/5th of the Stabilant I bought. It goes a long ways. You may be able to find a few local people and split a bottle 4 ways.

Check this thread for place online to buy enough for 30ml. Around $30 for 30 ml. instead of 60$ for 15 ml. at NAPA.
