Default Help with new Undertray

Hi guys,

I just received my new undertray from 928intl, but I neglected to order the hardware mounting kit. Can this thing be put on with ordinary screws and bolts I can get at Home Depot, or do i have to wait another week or two until the hardware kit arrives?

Thanks,

Spike

yup, you can get the bolts and washers... you need 9 Hex-HD tapping screws, 4,8x16 and 9 speed nuts 4,8... make sure you get metric.. that's all you need

My tray is held to the bottom of the steering rack with a couple 6mm hex capscrews, in addition to the above listed fasteners. The capscrews are about 20mm or 3/4" long, with large flat washers only-- not 'fender washer' big, but 'USS" size not 'SAE'. Purists will dash to the PET and tell you exactly what goes there as far as washers are concerned.

On my car I replaced all the tinnerman nuts with Nutsert threaded inserts, and the whole thing is now held on using machine screws instead of the sheet-metal screws except where the front tabs meet the frame. Much more secure.
