Did I forget to mention?... they just purchased a Murph928 32v SC kit from us - when they go back next year they will be SUPERCHARGED by 928Motorsports.

I feel like a proud Papa.

We sold them a Stage 2 32v kit with Intercooler system - they should be at 490 CHP or more at the time of the race. (The non-intercooled version produces 464 CHP)

True. Carl, if you have videos in PAL please put them up. Conversion is not a problem.

With 500chp and the 2.20 gearing, they should easily top 321km/h (200mph)! They might be the first S/C to cross the 200 barrier in a 928! I would guess they could hit around 210 with the right airdam!

Do a search for 2005 Gumball videos.

A team with an Evo 8, I think they were Team 56 or 57, has posted a nice long vid including some butt-clenching footage of dicing with traffic in the mountains - and a certain red 928 S4 making some very scary high-risk cut-and-thrust moves. I can tell you that even on the level of insanity that the Gumballers operate on - these guys are suicidal!

Couldn't find one that I could view without some sort of membership fee... got a link?

If someone can direct me to some footage of the red 928 I would be gratefull. I watched a few hours of footage last night and only got to see it leave a couple of checkpoints and arrive at one. Not what I was looking for. Alot of the vids are bit torrent files and I don't have the capability to watch those. Thanks.

Marc and Susan hit 209-210 way back in 1999! Speeds have gone up since then, but the white car has almost 100whp more now then it did then! I remember Marc saying that with his engine in a narrow body 928 it should hit 231mph!!!

I would also like to see some video of the 928. I watched about 300MB of video last night and saw only limited glimpses of the 928 and no exciting footage.
Also, some of the footage makes me a little guilty that I want to watch it. The drivers here are being extremely reckless while on public roads. Its one thing to drive like that on the track, and another to weave in and out of traffic at 160mph. On the road you never can count on what the other traffic is going to do. I don't care so much that the Gumballers wreck and kill themselves, its the innocent bystanders that they take out that I am worried about.
After watching this footage I have found that I much prefer the video of our illustrious 928 racers at the track. For one, they are much better drivers (the footage at some of the tracks in the Gumball videos showed some less than stellar driving). And two, I don't have to worry quite so much that they are going to kill some small child riding with his mom on his way to soccer practice.
That being said I am not averse to some reasonable high speed road driving. But it needs to involve long stretches of open road and courtesy and common sense to slow down as soon as you start approach traffic up ahead.

I have to agree with you, 928autobahndreamer. It's a miracle that the Gumballers haven't killed any innocent people yet.

Every time I feel like taking risks I go browse Wreckedexotics, com and look at the results of "bad luck".

I had the same issue... On one vid I caught a couple glimpses... though the Team Polezei vid was pretty damn funny!

Just one more reason I really NEED to win Lotto. I'd have enough for cars, mods and entry fees in perpetuity...

That's pretty darn cool!
