" as soon as I get the driver's bolster replaced and the piping changed from silver to black"
Gary, I have heard of redyeing the piping a different color. Is that what you are going to do or are you having it replaced?

Two additional uses for the 'Magic Erasers'
1) They are the very best way I know of to remove years of build up shiny Armor All type grunge.
2) If you have a patch where the leather has been redyed to cover up a defect, but the redyed section stands out, you can hit it kinda hard with a M.E. and get the patch to blend better.

Used Simple Green on tan Mustang seats a few years ago and they came out brand new. I didn't let the cleaner soak in for more than 30 seconds and the leather seemed to be fine. I would test it in a inconspicuous area first.
Tried Soft Scrub too after reading a few internet posts. Didn't work as well and left a residue that was a pain to clean.
