Thanks again guys, I am planning to do some driving over the weekend. Several trips over the same loop with checks on the contact patch for both temp and contact patch. The differing trips at changed pressures. That I hope will give me a reasonable way of determined what the pressure should be. Besides it is a good excuse for playing rather than doing chores about the house. Lucky for me there are some good Vermont roads to "test" on.

heinrich,

They are ROH rims from Aussie land, bought them on Ebay. They were listed as 16" but the auction said they has other sizes, 17*7.5, 17*8.5, 17*9.5 I purchaed the 17*7.5 for the fronts and the 17*9.5 for the rears. They are available with a chrome finish in 7.5" anf 8.5" widths, the 9.5 inch widths are ony available with the the finish shown in the photo. Cost was not bad, $760.00 plus shipping the seller was on Long Island and I an in VT, shipping was not bad. Tere were no fitment problems, and the balanced with very litte weight added.

Good 'nuff reason for me ...
Here's one last spring when the wheels arrived, before rear spacers and suspension height setting were corrected... but the tire pressures were OK
..... and a follow up to show what can happen when the rear pressure is too high ...
