Default Vacuum Line help please ?

Hi,
My cruise control has never worked, looked up all the stuff on it here, did what i thought were all the tests....even had the thing resoldered,,,,but now i think i may have found the problem....
Under my airbox IS A 4 WAY VACUUM connector and 1 line is BLOCKED off
according to a photo i got from one the the recent threads on this,,that blocked line is MEANT to be the "LINE to HVAC vacuum console"
Could someone please explain to me where this is meant to go PRECISELY
I can obviously take out the blanking plug and add some vac pipe,,,,but it might help if i knew where other end was meant to go ???
Also would anyone know if this is why my cruise control is NOT working ?
Many thanks in advance
All the best Brett

Without going and looking one pipe is normally blocked off.
Pull a vacuum on the other three to make sure they hold - use a mighty vac.
One is the reservoir under the fender and requires a lot of pumps to evacuate.

My guess is there is a problem with the cruise module - not unusual.
Do a search for repair of the same.

Does any aspect of the cruise work at all?

Do you have the WSM pages that detail the various tests? If you did all of the tests surely the problem area would be evident. Do your HVAC controls work, for example the heater valve?

HI,
Thanks for the replies...

Yes have done all tests..all holding vacuum.

BUT this picture i have (from a rennlist pirtle thread..cannot find the thread now )....does NOT show a blanked pipe...

It definately shows this blanked line as NOT blanked and has a black arrow pointing to this black pipe and says....."Line to HVAC vacuum console"

As far as my hvac sytem goes...all working EXCEPT that heat only works when upper control is FULLY to the right .......move control more than around 1/4 of an inch to left and i have varying degrees of COLD air.AIRCON is working although heat only in same FULLY RIGHT posotion???

Hope this helps

....."Line to HVAC vacuum console"
This is working as your HVAC is working/partially working.
The line that goes to the reservoir under the fender/wing is IIRC the one that has soething to do with your cruise. If they all hold vacuum then you are back to the cruise brain.

Go to https://www.928gt.com/default1.htm for all the help you will ever need to sort out your HVAC.
Once on the 928 specialists site find tips and links then Wallys World and then HVAC
