What it is doing is making a lot more airflow up the middle compared to a CS unit. I can see the gap widening already...

Next dyno will be a T67 compressor wheel, 6psi, intercooled. Hopefully the HP numbers will be up in the low-mid 4's as they should, & torque should follow if all's well. I sure do get a lot of looks & "thumb's up" from people hearing the turbo...I have the prototype muffler on the car for the next week until the custom units arrive for the kit.

Planned. I'll update my site with both the dyno run & the 1/4 mile run at the same time, next weekend. My 1/4 mile run will have me staged against an '03 M3 6-speed, so if my car can hang with it in the 1/4 mile, it's reasonably quick right? From the M3 forums, they range from 13.0 @ 109 down to 13.5 @ 103, so somewhere in there is good right? My best with 245/45 street tires before teh turbo was 14.2 @ 102 (have the slips). No LSD, 245's, & a 2.20 rear end don't yield the fastest 1/4 mile times!

A mid 13 should be no problem at all, even with lackluster traction.

Nail the launch, maybe a 13 flat.

With the 2.20 cars, 1st gear takes (literally) forever. A good hard 1st gear launch won't be difficult with the turbo, though on the street, I'm fighting traffic up to about 70mph, so I can't "slam" 2nd gear without spinning too hard. I plan to sell this car in search of the most perfect black/black or grey/black 86.5 car I can find, with LSD, in the spring.

I actually really like the 2.2:1 gears for drag racing. Nice high launch RPM with minimal driveline stress.

Surprisingly good torque curve (I like a lot down low). Nice job!

Great job! Keep up the research and keep us posted on the results!!! So the 85-86 kit will be available first, how long after that do you think the S4+ kit will take?

I've been telling you guys all along that the turbo can deliver serious power right where you need it! This car already has shown the potential with the turbocharger. Best of luck with the build.

I just got off the phone with my turbo builder...ah the plans are coming together now! Nothing quite like applying the best technology available!

Hope to pick up my first set of production manifolds next week for the Callaway conversion. Once this girl is gone I'll be under that S4.

I'll need an S4 donor car for testing in November. Any local takers? Donor-owner would get a kit at cost. Something to think about... Mark.(off to clean for the show)

Herr-Kuhn i never douted the turbo would make better power just in a diiferent rpm range. most people feel that the sharks had no down low power. but it being a gt car it should be the first thing on a shark owners wish list. that why the euro's had some much top end. so a S/C geive what most shark owners want low end power. some like topend. becasue you got other cheap no style cars that can make more power than us with ease. and the only thing we have left is our top end performance (not just stright line but twistys) and with a turbo kit just enhance that so much. but let us all control the power we all have via brakes, suspension ect. so while i wait for you guys to come up with a kit for a 16v cis. i will be removing weight, and upgrading brakes, suspension, aero's. dont forget about us baby sharks. i'll donate my car lol
