1984S Gold exterior, Brown interior with wood trim
I decided I'd like to introduce some contrast into my all brown interior. Someone said it's like driving in a Hershey bar. Anyway I added cocomats and that helped lighten up the dark floor. I went with zebrawood for wooden panels and inserts and an old 356 insignia to enhance the wooden horn button. I have the original parts all preserved and all the mods are easily reversed.
I toned the zebrawood to blend with the brown interior but have just a little contrast. I went with this wood instead of burl since I think it is slightly more modern sports/gt looking and less Bentley/Rolls Royce looking.
The car looks better in real life. I can only imagine how good your cars really look.

Wow! I have to hand it to you all. A 928 interior is something to reckon with as the car ages and the ingenuity, craftsmanship and imagination I've seen here is amazing. Puts me to shame, too! No way am I posting a shot of my interior only sporting a Momo wheel and a little mirrorball hanging from the rear view! But I am inspired....

OK - maybe not so obvious - and thats really a good thing in my book!
This is my improved rear wiper project. Note the hazzard flashers and rear demister switches have been moved. The dash reset switch is in the process of relocation to the console (not completed yet). The new addition top right is a rear wiper switch head from a 78 (in fantastic as new condition). This is where the switch originally lived (and a much better location too). The switch body underneath is actually a second deminster switch (both pushes & twists).
I'm actually not fully complete with the installation yet... but it works and just needs to be tidied up. I have 2 new relays on my CE panel for this (a lot of work) and a swapped rear wiper relay
New rear wiper operation:
Push the rear wiper **** briefly (<1/3 sec) to wipe once – a longer push wipes 3 times. Turn the **** clockwise for intermittent on (default delay is 6 seconds). Switching the intermittent off & back on sets a new intermittent rate - just like for my previously described intermittent front wipers (0 – 40sec delay). I utilized the same VW intermittent relay used for the front wiper upgrade to allow for the exact same functionality.
Based on an earlier discussion on Rennlist I also thought it would be very cool (Nicole made me think it !) to have the rear wiper automatically wipe a few times whenever I select reverse and the front wipers are on. So now whenever I select reverse when the front wipers are on (normal or intermittent) I get a one time only 3 wipes of the rear wiper.
This last part was more for the fun of proving I could do it... Cool though!

Question for you (since you seem to know electrics so well). I recently added keyless entry to my GT. Lock/unlock was pretty easy as was the feature for rolling up the windows. Took me forever to figure out how to do the horn "chirp" but I finally figured out i had to use the additional relay that came with the unit for this. I think I can figure out the hatch release, but i"m not quite there yet. My question fro you is how to add the lights to the loop. The unit I'm using (Python 440H) has a "-" pulse for lights (200mA IIRC). Can I hook this up to the relay in the fuse panel to get them to flash? I tried hooking it up through the factory alarm (same as yours I think) but no flash.

My lights (turn signals) are flashed by the alarm and my alarm is under the passenger seat so I connected there. My keyless entry has a built in relay for the lights, sounds like yours doesn't -
no big issue.
Add a relay with terminals 86 & 30 to 30 (always on) and terminal 85 to your flash output. Then the output terminal 87 goes to the positive side of 2 diodes (I'd use 5A rectifier versions from radio shack or similar) the negative side of these goes directly to the indicator wiring one for each side. You could use 2 relays but I prefer the diodes as they provide more protection in case the keyless entry is operated when the car is running (possible).
You have to figure out how to mount the diodes securely - I just used an overkill of bolt on stud diodes because I have a bunch of them already...
Hatch Release:
1) You need another relay... (buy in bulk!)
2) You have to rewire the hatch release motor to have a constant ground (stock it only runs with the doors open)
3) When you open the hatch you must also disarm the alarm - use the rear hatch unlock input to the alarm
4) I added the door open interlock back to the hatch release pulls by routing these to operate via the relay also...
