You are a brave man to restore this one!! Is the frame bent...I hope not but it sure looks like it?

It's a parts car, not a restoration project.

I can attest to that! The 928 is definately a safe vehicle.

DFWX.."The 928 unit-frame is not particularly rigid to begin with .." compared to what ? They are actually quite good much stiffer than the same vintage 911 and having seen many ,many wrecked ars they are extemely safe cars

On that note, an obituary was found related to this accident. Strong or not, a sudden stop is bad for the body.

"not exactly cherry"

I see a decent steering wheel and gear shift ****. Everything else is suspected to definite trash.

Well obviously it isnt a GTS, though someone thought it was cool to add decals, shifter etc... doesn't looks so cool now unfortunately..

Interesting seats that might be slavageable - note the 8 way driver and 12 way passsenger - an unsual combo! Even if the leather isn't good if they are memory seats someone will want them... they look like non-sports seats to me though (esp with ~full electric)

Looks like once again the car did its job and protected the passenger compartment pretty well...

Question

I guess I'm missing something. The original post is almost a year old. Why was it brought back?

Thanks, Hacker. The car probably is one big paperweight by now.

I spend a lot of time searching for things around here. I stumble upon questions, threads, topics left in limbo etc.. I never pay much attention to the date.

Not really, Jim hasn't totally dismantled it.
