Hacker, Chevrolet will be racing a 5.5 next year? Are they looking for higher rpm's? Do you know the reasoning behind the change?

Or maybe like Eddie Van Halen, they like to take everything up to 11 then bring it down to what's reasonable...

Yep, mines a 427 going into my TR8 once I put it together over the winter. I've done the dummy build and everything fits. Blocks aren't that light but certainly a lot lighter then an iron block. They are noticeably heavier then a rover/buick 215 block. The liners are a weakness though as are stock cast pistons. Detonation is the enemy of the ls engine so mapping needs to be correct.
