Hi Tarek,
This issue got bounced between a couple of different posts. I didn't post the answer on this post. The unbelievable answer was it was the almost new break master that was bad. Several things pointed to this being the problem, but since it had been replace just 2 years prior and 1 year of that had been sitting in my garage getting the tranny conversion I had to eliminate all other options before I could justify forking out the $$ for a new master. New master fixed the majority of the issues, but it still needs a better bleed. That's OK I know how to handle that!

Great to know it was resolved. Yes I heard that it's a big no-no to let the master cylinder sit for a long time or buy one that is NOS, as they deteriorate over time. I'll probably be doing mine this weekend before it goes bad too.
Cheers!

Sounds very familiar in concept.
I learned a long time ago that I can never completely discount anything just because I believe "it can't be that." Especially after the first few rounds of attempts fail to solve the problem. This isn't just cars but on-the-job where I'm dealing with new high tech products.
Frankly hear this on the forum a lot. "Sounds like your X." "Can't be X, I just replaced/fixed/tested that."
Not really comforting, though. Just un-boxed the new $219 master cylinder for my 944. Cripes.
