Malibu310, did you smoke the stock lights, or make covers for them?
Looks great on a black car...
Also, I think Porken is the king of custom mods for the 928...

I like the Ostrich car the best so far.....none of my mods are one off, but the combination of them all makes the car one of a kind......

Hey Rick,
good quality Ostrich is about $20-$25 a sq. foot when you buy full hides. Hides range in 15 to 18 sq. but only about half the hide is full quill. You learn to use every single part of it.
Apparently the skin as an inherent capacity of resisting drying and shrinking. Aside from the look, that was my main reason for using it on the pod and dash.
Time will tell.

I still think it needs matching colored carpet...
They grey is not the best contrasting color for that hide...
But then replacing the carpet would mean replacing the seats.
Which is probably not a bad idea...
If you are going to do such an amazing interior, you might as well do the whole thing...

Paul.. When I had the Eclipse AVN installed I had to relocate the heater controls below the display, how'd they get the mapping system below the controls? Did you get the DVD cut-off while your driving deactivated? Playing music video makes stopping in traffic bearable. Your install is first rate... best I've seen.

Rick: actually, "they" ended up being me
There was so much custom work involved that I didn't trust anyone else doing it. Fitting the Pioneer below the AC controls was no problem at all. I just had to relocate the back AC **** etc.
The main problem was getting the right angle on the unit. The natural angle of the 928 center console was far beyond the limit prescribed by Pioneer. Going lower on the console just made things worse. I had to fabricate new mounting brackets to tilt the unit about 7 degrees.
I never watch DVDs while the car is moving. I know there are easy ways to bypass the security system but I'm not a big supporter of that. I cringe at the thought of people who can barely drive when they are paying attention being able to drive and watch movies (while smoking and talking on the phone)

I've made a few mods...*
I think that besides my Momo SW with QR, this is my most satifying mod, especially when driving in the evening light:

I've had it installed for, ****e, over a year with this hand formed panel. Unfortunately, I haven't had a solid (development) week to make a production version.
...
My headlights I like mostly because of the weight loss and simplification, but I'm becoming more and more attached to the full cover look:

Less remarkable, but something I like too, is my painted side marker lights.
*All reversible, mind you.
