Hiya, Zaner! Sorry to see the issue about the car, ouch.
My boyfriend drives from OC to Santa Monica for work each day, and changes his driving pattern according to traffic - so I'll have him keep an eye out. ANY pic of what you are talking about will help, since he's not familiar with Porsches (soon to change - he'd like a Shark, or newer 944).
Any pic of what the difference is between a reg. 928 and that would help, doesn't even have to be that particular one.
I can run the pic through photoshop and do a mock-up of the silver color on the pic, and post it for you. That would take me a few minutes.
If you have a problem posting it here, email it to me at: julie@azraelstudios.com and I'll help out, and post it myself.

Hi eveyone
I am the owner of this stolen red / now silver widebody 928 it's a true one of a kind, one of the first supercharged car's in the country...
please visit my website and click for more details, I think once you see the car some of you will remember it
www.marcus3.com
The person who stole my car is known to have at least 2 other 928''s, and goes around the Los Angeles area telling people he is a doctor at one of the largest hospitals in beverly hills, which of course he isn't..
goto
www.internetconman.blogspot.com
to read about this slime
the car is listed by the police as stolen, if you see it please call the police
thanks

Burning Brakes
Unreal.
I am a big fan of your car, Marcus. You were also kind enough to email me some info regarding questions I had about s/c'ing my ride.
I'll keep an eye out for this scumbag in Ventura county.

Marcus, If this guy is on all these sites, why are you having a hard time finding him? Can't you get a girl you know to contact him for coffee (as most first time meetings do) and then follow him to see where he lives? Hell, maybe he would even drive the car if she told him she was a car freak. Maybe you have already done this, was just a thought. I will keep my eyes open. The headlights are a dead give away.

Marcus- This is gonna sound like an unusual offer, but if you want to pay me to come out there and get the car, send me a PM.
I'm in that profession.
It won't be cheap, and i can make no guarantees...but returning wayward vehicles to their rightful owner is my business.
Barring that, i'd HIGHLY reccomend you talk to some local repossessors, they are legally able to retrieve your vehicle for you, if you can find one that will take the job. And unlike the cops, they will have a vested interest in finding it. IOW....$$$$$

Stolen 928 Widebody Spotted in Anahiem
This may be a coincidence, but I think your car has been spotted in Anahiem by someone on the weblist. I am trying to get him in contact with the rightful owner now.
Text of his email:
"Saw a gaudy-looking (sorry for that term) gray 928 widebody just after leaving the stadium parking lot Thursday night. While I'm not a fan of most 928 widebody glue-ons I've seen so far, this particular one was faster than the average 928. Trying to get a better look at it, my son-in-law pushed his Subaru turbo pretty hard, and was closing on him, but couldn't get real close to him before we had to turn off. That 928 was pushing hard through traffic, accelerating much faster than a stock one. Usually nothing or not much gets away from my son-in-law's mod'd turbo. Stroker maybe?"
