Hey Drew!
The ride is coming along quite well! Let me know what events you are targeting and I will see if we can meet up.

So far the list of Arizonans that have track sharks are

1. Myself
2. Rich Andrade
3. Tim in Tuscon
4. Scott in Tuscon
5. Dan Warner - hell be running a dual throttle bottle 928 with a 5.0 L block and my Old 84S2 top end. Should be interesting.

OMG that is gonna be one light shark!!! Too bad you can't take it to a scale right now! That is some great stripping work. how long did it take you to remove all of the insulation? Did you paint the tub also on it???

Andrew,

I think JV and DL have both removed the seat rails to get their seats lower, and it will save a bit of weight.

Likewise with the rear speaker double metal housing, I believe JV has removed some metal there as well. I haven't gotten to that yet, but I don't believe there is any need to keep that metal (*).

Thanks Man

- Put it this way - we forgot to compensate for the less weight - I know have to recut the front springs and readjust the rears, to lower her some more.

How long did it take?

I'll say this - I NEVER want to strip another shark down. It literally took 25 plus hrs of HARD work, In STRIPPING the insulation off ( with the help of some fellow rennlisters - Plus BEER and PIZZA) to get it to where it sits today. This was after I removed all of the panels, seats, console and so forth.

Yes the interior was painted in "close" proximity - Paint colour - to the Factory Porsche Cars. At least thats the impression Im under.

She Rolls light as HELL - Anything and Everything that wasnt needed was removed.

Lexan Windows and a Paint Jop come after Labor Day.

25 hours? OMFG that's Nike slave labor.

Hell I used to spend that much time a week on in OT before I became a beta tester

Stig it was pressure washed, the hardest part was keeping your beer out of the 105 degree sun.

He actually started on it over a year ago and now its about done.

Dont let TK give you the impression it was easy - It was a HAIRY **** to pressure wash it then go back and use solvent then degreaser, then clean water. Took four/Five Guys 5 hrs on a Saturday using a Hight temp pressure washer to clean all the crap out first.

It Totally Sucked.
