It doesn't surprise me about the camaros....probably the mustangs too...there only so much you can do with a live axle + a heavy car! I bet the old Z does pretty good considering its lack of power!

Most folks dont understand that. yes, those cameros are pretty fast, but just dont have the handling and braking. Funny you mention the ole Z. that thing is really funny. it handles, but looks like it is a handful. its got plently of power, having a very expesive Rebello buit engine ( many of the Speed World Challenge Touring cars have engines built by them) over 300hp but on a pretty light chassis. (wonder how fast he would be with a shorter 240z chassis!) He does really well at Sears, but not as well at Laguna.

Thanks for the pics. Those are some REALLY great shots. almost all of them are better than what ive seen by the pro photographer at the track!!!

Glad you liked them. I have a ton more pics in higher-res (1600 x 1200). I'll send you a CD of them along with a better quality version of the video.

also, was thinking about your gearing during the race, did you ever determine what gear box you have?
