How much does your 928 weigh?

I have wondered how easy it would be to convert eletric windows to manual roll-up. Just out of curiosity of course.
Actually, early Porsche 911 CS racers built by the factory had a weight-saving window dealee - the window crank mechanism was gone and in its place was a leather strap belt. To raise the window, you pulled on the belt and latched it into place at the height you wanted. I have a picture of it around here somewhere, I will look for it..
It would be cool for someone to start an official weight savings thread where people could add their scale-verified weights of various items.

Didn't realize they get such good gas mileage.
You don't find you feel fatigued after long drives in the Z06 compared to the GTS?
Was never a big vette fan myself although the Z06 is relatively quick.

My GT weighed a portly 3700lbs once, at a real race..(one of my first with PCA) With driver and rollcage, as we came off the track. I now race at about 2700lbs, again with driver in all my gear. You will get your a** handed to you by many many lighter, but less powerful cars, if you try to run with them at "full weight" in a 928. Look at it like this..it'd be like having the front four of some pro team in your car as you try to get it going, stopped, and turned. Well, maybe just 3 of the front four..And 50 lbs of wiring is very conservative as an estimate. I just got an additional 50 lbs of wires out of my car after three years on the track. Finally got around to taking the time to really go through the chassis and remove all the crap I never used anyhow. I have heard of 928s in Europe racing at 2300 lbs..now that would be nice.

Speaking of wiring.... other than the essential wiring for making the beast stop and go - motor (EFI, Alt, etc.), gauges, abs (?), what other electrically-driven equipment and associated harness are left (either from a 'is desirable' standpoint or 'required by the regs standpoint?'
Headlights? Marker lights? Front wipers?

I am 3094lbs and haven't even started Phase II. Next up for this weekend. Sunroof removal/replacement (started). Lexan Rear Hatch glass replacement(Ordered) (BTW found that the Saturn rear hatch is identical in shape to the 928, but approx. 1/2" larger in dimensions). Removable driver and passenger side Lexan windows. Door panel removal.. Dash removal.. complete the sound proofing removal weigh the car and plan Phase III.

Here is an article I found while surfing the net. Just some info in general on weight reduction of the newer cars.
