Default Old Car Trophies

Do any of you know of any worthwhile way to recycle or reuse these? Kids organizations or whatever? I have a couple of boxes full of old autoX and racing ones that are taking up space in the attic. SWMBO (She who must be obeyed) says they have to go.

I can't imagine what anyone would do with them, or why anyone would want them, but I would rather recycle them someway than simply toss 'em. Knowing what a clever and public spirited group this is, I thought I would ask the question. Thanks in advance.

Take 'em to a trophy shop... they are made of standard parts which can be recycled into new trophies. You can always take pics to preserve them for posterity... And, if you have one or two that you are particularly attached to, you might be able to apply the "Well, I got rid of MOST of them" technique.

Joe organize a Pac NW go-cart race, derby etc, and hand them out as trophies.

I had a pile of dust collectors like that and I took off the date/name/event specific engraved plates and mounted them all on one flat plaque. Then at least I can remember that I'm not a total loser. The plaque is in my master bathroom, so no ones sees it much. But that frees you up to donate the trophies to a school or the Boy's Club, etc. and not feel so bad.

Take pictures of all your cars, surrounded by the trophies, before you do anything with them. Then, if you ever list one of your cars for sale, the poor hapless buyer will think all them cool trophies apply to the car he's buying! It'll increase your sale value by big bucks!!!

Sell them to a local sports bar, and donate the proceeds to a worthy cause.

KEEP THEM!!! My uncle used to race sports cars back in the fifties for Ferrari and Austin Martin. On tracks long since gone. Last year he decided to move to Hawaii and thought "what in the hell am I doing dragging these along?" so he decided to sell them on EBay. After he got bids over $1500.00 per trophey he thought he might keep them in storage for the grandkids to some day sell. He has since been offered over $5,000 for a single 1st place trophey he won at Torrey Pines Raceway back in the late fifties. The little car on top of that trophey is a 250 Testarosa which is what he raced. Never know what they may be worth 30 years from now.
