Default IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AFTER ALMOST A YEAR OF HYBERNATION I HAVE MAJOR BWAAAAAA!!!!

The Yeti fired up with less than two seconds of cranking, just like it had been driven yesterday!! It actually started so quickly it scared me!

I have a few minor adjustments/trouble shooting to do.

• Squishy brakes even after full bleeding
• Squishy clutch
• Clutch adjustment
• Engine had slight miss/back fire and the ARM showed it “searching” between lean and rich….favoring the lean to very lean

Given the above conditions, I didn’t test the clutch/shifting and only let it run in the garage for about a minute then shut her down.

But………I have BWAAAAA!!!!!!!

Thanks Derek! Couldn't have even thought about doing it without Rennlist and those brave souls who walked point and cut the path before me!

Thanks to you ALL!

Scott............well done, congrats.

Is it possible that you could list the pile of material you removed from the auto and the 'new' pile you had to add?..............extensive I bet!

Bleed the brakes /clutch using the power bleeder; easy to use and mess free and shall work in both conventional and 'the tech book' methods (Wallys thread)

Thanks Malcolm,

A write-up with pictures is coming soon.

I did use the power bleeder and used the farthest away method. I will try Wally's new recommendation.

"wright" (middle English from old English)..........one that constucts or repairs something: a play wright; a shipwright or in Scotts case, a transclutchwright

Guess I am a Shark Wright then, right?

Actually, my bosses name is Wright and I did it without even thinking...

So if he's Wright, then he's not Wong?

Sorry had to go there.

C'mon Scott, I've got a bottle of Techron and time to kill! It's entirely possible that your MAF and LH have not adjusted to the new altitude and the old gas in the tank might not be helping either. Remember it was doing the same thing last time you drove it?

The LH is supposed to be adaptive, and my car after dis- and reconnecting the ground strap idles very lean. It has always richened up (too much, unfortunately) over time. After about a tank of gas, my idle is a bit overly rich and no longer hunts on the AFM. I suspect the early stages of LH failure.

Go drive it!

Hmmm....could be the adaptive function of the LH. But I have never had it miss/backfire like that before. Maybe I will start it up again and take her around the block. (Didn't think my neighbors would appreciate the BWAAAA at 10 pm last night!)

Have you tried adjusting the CO idle mixture using the pot above the fuse panel?
