15" Gotti wheels on strange 928

Randy V- As opposed to say, "Flying Dog" or "Shark Skin" or "Gator_86_951" or "Kaz"?(examples of screen names from just this one thread).
LOL, sorry, couldn't resist.
But for the record, my name is Bill(many of the posters here actually do know that).
My screen name is a reference to my former profession(US Army Sniper, issued an M-21 rifle), and i use it at every board i post at, the vast majority of which are military related(including my own). In military circles "M21sniper" is no more unusual than "928 shark guy" would be here, and no less descriptive.
I don't really think it matters what my screen name is Randy, i just don't think people are big on unfiltered honesty nowadays. Somewhere along the line the PC police convinced everyone that being honest is somehow bad, and that being such makes one somehow flawed.
As Tarek said, "How can one ignore all that credibility and class?"
Going by that logic, obviously honesty must be a sign of classlessness, and dishonesty a sign of class. Apparently lying is also a sign of credibility, and again, honesty is a sign of a lack thereof.
Wow.....now there's some logic.
I will admit that to some people i'm a lightning rod because i speak my mind honestly. But then, so are all men(and women) that speak their mind honestly. It's always been that way, and i reckon it will always be that way.
Fortunately nowadays the worst someone will do when you're honest is insult you and maybe ban you from an internet forum. In Plato's day if you spoke a truth that people didn't like, they simply executed you(No i'm not comparing myself to a great philosopher, and no i'm not trying to make myself out as some noble martyr, i'm just making a point).
I know you from the other board, and i've always liked you, and never had a problem with you. I hope the feeling is mutual, but i also understand your duties as moderator here, and i fully accept that you have to do them as you see fit in the best interests of the board you moderate. If that means you have to ban me because i won't conform to PC nonsense, then i'll hold no grudge whatsoever. I fully accept the responsibility for my actions- whatever they may be, and i always do. Back in the day, they used to call that 'being a man'.
Of course that was back before personal responsibility for one's actions was replaced with the notion of 'societal sensitivity for one's failings'.

"Bottom line - you can speak your opinion without being a dick. Give it a try."
That is one of the best and most concise example of cutting through someone's self righteous bull**** I've ever had the privelege of witnessing!

I happen to love 928s with modified bodies, and have a whole webpage full of them.
And I have a lot of opinions about all of them.
This car is really extreme, and I like that, but in my opinion,
it needs some work to make it really look nice. But it's a good
start, and I love how wide it is, and I like the back view and
the side view. It's just a little too boxy and the coke-bottle
effect is a little extreme. I think if the doors were widened
a bit to match the width of the fenders, it might be a big
step in the right direction. But I have always liked the rear
view, and the exhaust. It's an interesting and cool car,
even if it's not perfect, and I commend your efforts to
keep it around, and make it better...
Don't let the negative comments bother you.
Many 928 owners are purists, and will never
like those kinds of mods. But there are plenty
of plain 928s out there for them. So have fun
with your unique version...

Thanks for the feedback. I agree it needs work. I bought it as you see it in the pic, but with poorly fitted wheels. So that was the first order of business. Felt like I went to wheel fitment school during taht experience. Got the new wheels and now it's starting to look consistent. The doors can use widening in the front, but that's what my other widebody project is for. The workmanship on this one is so nice, that I'm having difficulty letting someone hack into it...just yet. But I definitely plan on making internal cuts for housing various radiators/coolers in those flares. I would like to stuff as many mechanical items and hardware as I can back there, in order to free up weight and room in the engine compartment. It would be the start of a modified/boosted engine with a huge intercooler. If I continue to feel it's too soon to cut through the hard work of somebody else....I'll probably end up using the lines on it as guidelines for finishing the other widebody, with all the mods/improvements incorporated...it's only $$$...and when you have those, it's only time...both of which are scarce for me these days.

Shark Skin- "My name has been in my sig since the day my membership activation allowed me to have a sig."
OK, maybe you weren't the best example to use.
LOL...
I don't seem to be able to have a custom sig though, so i don't have that option at this time.
Hey, where did the "Specialist" thingy under my SN come from? I was a Corporal!
