Default H5 headlight wiring question

The 7 inch headlight wiring harness is easy enough to figure out...the wiring to the plug have different colors. However, the plug for the H5 has 3 wires, and they're all colored black.

How can I tell which H5 plug wire connects to the correct stock colored wires? I've got the headlight connected and it illuminates, but it also illuminates with the wiring connections swapped. For now I've left them connected so that the illumination is the brightest, but I don't want to cause a problem.

Anyone know how the stock plug wiring should be spliced to the H5 plug end???

Dave,
Here you go:

In case your colors are different...

Brown - Common Gnd
Yellow/Black - Low Beam L
White/Black - High Beam L

and on my GTS the other side is

Yellow - Low Beam R
White - High Beam R

I thought Bill Ball had a writeup on this, but his site seems to be down. http://www.billsworkshop.com IIRC
