i wouldn't go that far. the basic install looks pretty good. only a couple of things need to be cleaned up. the proof would be in the dyno and tuning.

If the engine is in good shape, it wouldn't take too much to get it up to snuff...
Very much cheaper than starting from scratch...

OK ,"I got 24k as a trade in for it on a 94 turbo 3.6" if the dealer put half that in real money they paid too much and that is something dealers rarely do ! And the dealer would be crazy to try to sell it in California since it is not smog legal and cannot be made smog legal with the blower in place.

Hey,
Jim at least I can drive and not trash 2 928's . Any normal person would of realized hey I can't drive but aparently after 2 crashes you still haven't figured it out. Waiting until you ruin a 3rd one, maybe you should switch to a car with lower power and easier to drive like a minivan Just don't trash to many more or at least until I can get my GTS. I will show any one my bill of sale as proof. It was to good of a offer when I was asking people about selling mine, then the emission issue came up. Which was a major problem when trying to sell my car. The dealer looked past that so I jumped at the chance. I also don't have to prove anything to a guy like you.

HYK,

Tell us the story about the SC install.....I would like to know how you decided where to source the various components and other specifics like the boost level. Did you changed the injectors, whose bracket did you choose, whose pulleys, whose intercooler, how was the cooling and breather systems designed. Did you do the install?

It sounds like you came out of the transaction a happy guy and ultimately that is all that matters. Don't take the questions and the interest in tracking your posts personally. May of us have a deep and abiding interest in everything shark and like to follow the intrigues of each car......or engine as it moves around the community.

Please do tell the story about the SC. I agree with the other poster...if the base car is still healthy, bringing the SC install up to snuff (my standard, nothing else implied) would be quite easy and inexpensive.

He's pretty indignant over me posting his posts that are pertinent to this thread.
He has been trying to sell the car ever since this thread. 928's are horrible cars because a belt broke...

OH YEAH....Now I remember...He bought the car with the SC already installed, right? I do remember reading that.....and the belt that broke was the blower belt, right? Man Jim you have a good memory.

I would still like to know the story behind the story on the SC install....this has to be FAST install with a few Murph upgrades.....

And "indignant" is a way of life around here....especially if the poster was ever involved with a car that was supercharged......The level of indignancy is inverse to the success rate of the install(s)..... Theorem on my part, not actually proven yet to be a physical law of nature.....
