A First Win of Type in the Porsche 928 World!
We showed the two modified 928's at the Car Craft Grand National show in St Paul Minnesota this weekend. There were 4,600 muscle cars and hot rods that showed up, and two Porsches. We did not fix any of the minor scrathes and imperfections that occur with daily driving, nor did we stay around to polish the cars all day, as most of the other car owners did.
We did have a constant crowd, not because of the blower sticking from the hood (there were at least 300 blower motor cars) or the glass hood (we had the only glass hood), but because of the 928's.
We decided to stick around for the awards and when we found out that we did not even make the list of the 25 peoples choice awards we were going to pack it up, but decided to stay. When they called Adam's name for the Best of Show Award, in the Street Rod Category we were astonished! I think this is the first time a Porsche 928 won a National Street Rod Award!
