Default factory alarm system on 86

I just got my certificate of authenticity from PCNA today, which thankfully lists all the options, since my option code sticker lists none. I was surprised to see that "Alarm System" was listed, as I didn't think my car has the factory alarm (or any alarm). Is there a way I can tell? The manual briefly talks about the alarm but doesn't provide a procedure for arming/disarming. So, my questions are:

1. How to arm/disarm the alarm system, assuming I have one?
2. When it is armed or disarmed, is there any audible or visible indication? If not, is there a way I can test the system?

Thanks.

p.s. The only keys I received from the PO were two identical master keys which operate everything. I'm wondering if I should also have an "S-key" that the manual talks about....

Oops, never mind. I did a search and found out how to test it. Yup, I have the alarm system alright, and a LOUD one. I tested it in my closed garage and now my ears are ringing.

Alarm cars have longer keys also so it's possible to find out if there is one by measuring the key. Difference is about 1cm = 1/2". Actual lenghts should be somewhere in archives IIRR.

I knew my keys were pretty long, and that was mentioned in the old threads I found. So, I tried the "reach inside with the window open" method of testing it. I can arm/disarm from all 3 locks. It's nice to find a feature I didn't kow I had.
