Silver79: The new seats actually sit about an inch higher than the OEM seats(which does give better visibility), but they are MUCH lighter(19lbs vs about 50lbs each), and yes, they are extremely comfortable.

Had i to do it over, i'd have definitely gotten them in vinyl though. I have long thin hair that likes to shed all over them, and hair is a real PITA to get off of the material they used.
I'm out there about 1x a week with a roll of tape getting all the hair off them, lol.

I got them on ebay, 199.00 for the set. I don't recall the brand, but i spent several hours on ebay looking for the absolutely lightest contour racing seats i could find...and those were the winners(most of the rest are in the 30lb range).

If weight is not an issue, there are much nicer seats available.

At any rate, installation was fairly straight forward, i just had to drill some holes in the existing seat frame rails.

I sold Heather from 928s4vr my old leather seats(in very good condition) for $200.00.

Some more pix of my 928(these are a bit old, around Jan 05).

If you pan through the three pages of the thread there are closeups of the xenon headlights i installed(ebay, about 40 bucks for the complete kit w/ bulbs), the Jager door lock and window overlay kits installed, a few nice burnouts, and my custom 3" Borla exhaust system. There's also a pic of Heather's nice 1983 blue 928S US A/T next to mine....the one i beat by 12 car lengths, lol.

Page 3 of the thread has my most recent engine photo, but it's a bit dated. I've since yanked the A/C system and replaced the OEM electric fan with a highoutput aftermarket electric pusher.

The last pic is of my dash when i had the chrome gagerings installed. I didn't like them much, so i ended up taking those off and installing a jager carbon fiber overlay instead, with a blue LED dash lighting kit.

Looks fantastic now, especially at night.

so, what is the big MAF situation. since it is supposed to be stock, and 82 US vesion have the little flappy valve AFM, this could tell more of what you really have under the hood.
pics of what you have under the air box!!!
