Do the 3 screws that mount the motor assmebley to the black metal frame work go all the way in flush, or do they sit proud of the motor assembly by a MM or 2?
Mine seem to bottom out leaving about a 1mmm gap? Just curious.
TIA

Tony,
Is the motor housing still loose? I was into mine a few weeks ago and they tightened all the way up - not sure where the heads lie when all done - I thought they were below the surface level - but not sure.
Post a picture of what yours look like and I'll probably recall if mine were any different..

I screwed mine home. The head of the screw might sit slighly proud, but the motor assmly, should be tight. Make sure you take a good look at how the mirros locks into the motor assembly. It's a bit tricky to see if it's fully engaged. You don't want that mirror falling out!
How'd the paint turn out? Did you do it yourself?
Tony, have you got the mirrors working successfully? I hear the S4 is much easier than the early cars like mine. I will post some pics of the conversion kit when the photos are developed. Damn that developing
