Well, it doesn't look as good as it used to... paint chips, faded rear quarter, etc. But I've put 80k miles on it in 6 years, routinely commute 550 miles to a gig in Detroit, and the beast has never failed me. Figure I'll paint it this summer, throw on some fresh rubber, and keep on driving the **** out of it.

Good luck with the acquisition.

This is totally normal for he early (up to MY84) seats. The leather shrinks a bit, and becomes flat. No biggie, as long as it's not hard as cardboard.

Car looks pretty good for an '84, definitely not excellent. If it's checked-over by a competent 928 mechanic, compression checked, oil looked-at, driven, etc and it all comes back OK, then 8k CDN is a normal price.

For about $5700 US$, its not too bad. Just make sure he has paperwork showing the odometer change, very helpful when trying to resale. Although I would save my pennies and get at least a an '86.5

Check out,
http://www.pcaucr.org/pcaucr/forum/post.jsp?postid=3722 is in Ontario

http://www.canadatrader.com/result/d...1823183&pgno=2 Is in Pointe Claire Quebec.
Thanks for the links. I see these cars everyday (less now that I'm dealing with this one). The first one is also in the trader and was playing around with the $. He started @ $13,500, went up to $14,500 and now it's @ $12,500. The second one as been there for about 3 weeks I believe, it's a dealer (they REALY want your money) asking $9900, so it must be worth $6,500. The car looks eeringly similer to one that sold on ebay.ca for $5,500 in Alberta late winter, if I remember correctly.

I could wait to get to the next level and then from there wait for the next one and so on.....You know what, I want to drive one before having to pay $200 for a fill-up. Having said that, if I don't feel confortable with this one, I won't buy it. Ps; I do like the 84, last year non interference engine and a bit less complex than the next generation 928's and the spider looks cool to.

Here in Canada we pay modoritly (to way) more for the same car as in the states. A mater of fact, that goes for about eveything.
Yes an 86.5 (with stick while were at it) that would be nice. Lets make it Sky blue over Tan
