Just thought I'd post my comments here regarding my ride in Jim R's 89 GT Murph S/C'd shark. We didn't do a G-tech run but I have to say that was the fastest car I have ever riden in. I had to change my shorts after the ride. I don't think there are many cars out there that could compete with his G/T. He also did a great job on the install. I have to say that if anyone wants to know what a s/c'd shark could do just see Jim R. As for me, I'm just finalizing my Stage I kit from Tim which I will post some info on in the very near future My hat's off to Tim for a great product.

Being a passenger in a well driven, fast car can be a little un-nerving....I have personally witnessed passengers going from the scared mode to the terrified mode as my Super Shark kicks into boost in a low gear......I have actually stopped doing this, because it does really seem to scare the bejesus out of people.....They get alll giddy immediately after the ride and seem to be unable to express in clear words to others, the essence of the experience. I do know I would not want to ride shot gun in one of these cars unless I had a deep and abiding trust of the driver.....

Good luck on your install.....it will be fun, if it is anything like the experience I had.

I've never been a passenger in a supershark before , generally I enjoy giving others a ride in my shark . I have to say that Jim and I were comparing notes and I couldn't believe how fast his car really was.

My Murph kit is installed - it just needs some final tweeking and a dyno run and I'll post some info. I have to say that overall the Stage I kit is a breeze to install and my "new" found HP is fantastic. I can give almost any car a run for the money (with the exception of Jim's GT).

FL - Once you get a ride in Jim's GT there's no turning back - you Will need to s/c you shark. Sometime this summer Jim and I were talking about a 928 gathering here on Long Island and I guess part of the attraction will be rides in his G/T and my Stage I. More to follow.

Nail on the head. I am always VERY scared when I ride in high-horsepower cars driven at what I perceive to be close to the edge. In fact, I prefer not to take rides with people like me.

I must have missed the announcement that the Stage I kit was up for sale. I remember Tim saying he was creating one. I can't find specific information about Stage 1 at the Murph website. Even though I already have another stage 1 kit installed, I am interested in the details (how it differs from stage 2, cost, etc.). Thanks.

Hey H, one of my biggest fears is encountering someone that drives like me coming in the opposite direction.

We have had a highly modified FAST kit operating up here for 1.5 years on 5# with no intercooler. Dyno'd at 267rwhp uncorrected before and 370rwhp uncorrected after supercharger. (415 rwhp at sea level) Giving people rides in it then was fun, now is going to be a blast. We have a bunch of 944 racing customers that tease us about 928's being slow.......until I take them for a ride in that car. Shuts them right up.

He's rolling out of here this week at 11#, haven't hit the dyno yet but I will post the results. It's using Tim's brackets, pulleys and intercooler but many other mods to the cooling, oiling and intercooler heat exchanger systems. This gentleman wants to be able to drive coast to coast in 100+ temps with the A/C on and under boost.........all at once.

That is another level of fear altogether....My bride thinks the mirrors are for checking her makeup and coiff.....Her head swivels like an owl when she is curious what is behind her.....She has never even come close to having an accident, but I am still terrified riding in a car she is driving..... Funny thing though, she loves riding in the shark, gets a big kick out of "blast off" as she calls it...........

I hate being the passenger in any vehicle - I generally don't trust anyone's ability but my own.

Bill - I believe Tim's Stage I is in the final stages of development. I got Tim to send me a beta version that I've been playing with. I still have to get to the dyno but overall it's relatively easy to install because you don't have an intercooler to contend with and you don't have to swap out the injectors. My estimate for the install is probably around 6 - 7 hours for the average DIY mechanic. The car drives like a dream, Jim R. took a test ride with me, and it has lots of power. I can't (yet) confirm the boost numbers but it's at least 6#'s. During this time I also installed a new set of Bilsteins/Eibach with front and rear drop links which have really improved the handling. I just have to schedule a dyno run and I'll post the info for before's and afters.
