You can drive the car without leaking fluid all over the engine until you can replace that hose.

You'll get a bit of a workout, but not an engine fire.
Just did that, I figured that a $12.00 belt being cut off was cheaper than a tow bill and a new 5.7L in the truck. I took it around the block to see how bad of a work out it was and it wasn't too bad. I figure the 50 mile drive for work tomorrow will be a different story.

Thanks for the save, I owe you a beer.

I have a local guy here that does wonders. He has made a few custom hoses and lines for me, he does it cheap and while i wait.He need the old hose or line. He's also a car buff (has an h2) and his brother has a 911. he is always glad to help. he make hydrolic hoses for big stuff like cats and cranes... The last few hoses he made me was AT trans hoses $20/ea and an oil cooler hose $10.00..... He uses the old line to make the new one or he uses the ends off the old hose.....PM me if you send them to me I will run them over there, or i can give you his number

Are the power steering lines rubber? Can they be replaced with braided stainless steel with a rubber lining?

My hose place built the new one (RHD is a bit longer) in 3 parts fitted together with tube nuts. Much easier to reinstall, and next time you only have to unbolt the failed rubber section and replace it.

I'm going to try and find someone local for it, if any of the DFW guys know anyone, I'd be real happy with some suggestions.

Shark Attack , if my search somes empty, I'll send them your way and have him make me a couple of them.

The drive to work was not too bad w/o power steering.

Thanks guys.
