Unhappy SCREW LOOSE (inside rear hatch frame)

...not in my head thankfully. I've had a screw or something similar rolling around in the rear hatch channel. I can hear it roll from side to side when cornering and from front to back when opening the hatch. This may seem like a very simple question to some, but how can I access that area. I'm assuming I can get at that area from behind the inside trim ...however I'm unsure of how the small round black plastic clips that hold the interior trim in place along the inside of the hatch come out. I've tried earlier today but was unwilling to force them until seeking advice from "those who have been there before".
Do these just "pop" out or is there a trick? what is the best tool for the job?
Just trying to avoid breaking anything before seeking advice.

Thanks in advance to those who respond.

I think you can get at that by removing the latch. Easy to try.

...good suggestion I'll try from there first. Out of curiosity has anyone removed those black plastic clips I spoke about...have found some of the leather trim is starting to peel away from this part so I may want to remove in spite of getting access through the latch for the screw issue.

the "clip" is a 2 piece deal as seen in the pics below... you can use a very thin edge to gently pry out the center a hair and use needlenose to pull it out

See you guys really do not need me to respond. That is one of the interesting things about the forum questions and answers I think the level of knowledge and understand just keeps getting better and better. This has evolved into such a great resource especially for those doing their own work.

Maybe not, Jim, but it is reassurring knowing that you're out there overseeing the flock.

Amen!

Some of us (OK, me) who are much better at driving than wrenching (all relatively speaking, of course) are glad to know we have a safety net. I can only hope to get half as knowledgable as many others on the site.

Hell, at this point, I'd be happy to find another shark owner within 100 miles!
